Stephanie Manriquez AAS
LMT NCBTM graduated from the one year certificate LMT program at Central Oregon Community College in
1999. She went on to obtaining an Associates of Applied Science in massage
therapy in 2001. Stephanie served as the program director of massage therapy
program
at COCC from 2003 to 2005. She established Massage Now Learning Institute
December1, 2006 to help students complete the courses required in their
massage education when qualifying for Oregon state massage licensing exams.
Stephanie is well connected
to the massage profession with her volunteer work with the NCBTMB CE Approved
Provider committee membership. She has served on this committee since 2002.
She is currently the vice chair of the NCBTMB Approved Provider Committee.
She has worked on NCBTMB Task Force Analysis panel for NCBTMB in 2002.
Stephanie supports NCBTMB massage therapy certification and she believes it helps
to maintain
higher standards of practices in the profession.
Stephanie is the 2007 board chair of the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists
and has served on the Oregon state licensing board since 2001. She is
serving her second and last term on the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists.
Stephanie was voted the
2005-2006 delegate to the FSMTB by her fellow board members of the Oregon
state massage board. The Federation of State Massage
Therapy Boards is a new organization that consists of member states
that license and regulate massage therapy. She has worked on the Item
writing committee for the FSMTB to help assemble a new licensing exam that will
be available in the summer of 2007. Stephanie currently serves on the
Finance Committee for the FSMTB.
Stephanie owns and operates
massage therapy offices in Bend and Sunriver. She offers employment to many
of the students that have graduated from local massage programs.
