"Take some time to learn more about massage therapy"

Swedish relaxation

The commonly offered massage technique. "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles with long and kneading of the muscles. It is intended to promote relaxation, circulation, and to relieve muscle tension. This technique encourages the flow of blood to return to the heart.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese word. It means ‘finger pressure’. A Shiatsu treatment does however incorporate the use not only of finger pressure, but also thumbs, palms, knees, forearms, elbows and feet. Pressure is applied to the areas of energy lines (meridians) to promote good health by 'stimulating the body's energy flow (Ki)'

Deep tissue

Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Muscle injury treatment

Muscle injury treatment combines a number of modalities to isolate, treat and restore proper movement to injured soft tissue. Myofacial Release, active resisted stretching, trigger point therapy, cross fiber friction, and PNF stretching are all used to zero in on the specific points of distress, rigor, relieve the restriction, and restore the muscle to its potential. As a powerful coordinated approach, it looks for the structural causes of pain, not just where it has appeared.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the idea that the specific points on the hands and feet correspond with organs and tissues throughout the body. In using various techniques, the practitioner can access reflex points on the hands and feet affecting congested areas over the entire body, relieving the client from a wide range of aliments.
